2006 Jack Taylor Memorial

The 2006 Jack Taylor Memorial was won by Dennis Epple, an UVic student from Germany.

The tournament also included an Australian who was passing through (Tony Weller), so although small, the tournament field had a global presence.

Turnout for the tournament had a field with an average strength of ~2000 which is fairly strong for a typical weekend open Swiss. Strong players competing (apart from the winner :-) ! ) included Harry Moore (3rd ranked in active rated BC players), the Canadian 2006 Junior Champion Bindi Cheng. and one of the 2006 BC Closed co-champions, Howard Wu.
